MANOWAR are The KINGS OF METAL - I hope everybody shares my opinion on that - if not then I'll have to bid you to get the FUCK out of here!

It's not only their unbelievably powerful music that hits my nerve, it's also the lyrics. Of course their lyrics are symbolical. But I have learned - and still am learning everyday - to live by these words - words that give me the strength to hold my head up high, never to give in or to kneel before no man, to believe in myself and that always a new road will begin, where another one will end.

Songs for eternity, of honor and respect. I truly believe that if the world lived by these words, the world would be a much better place to live in! But as for the moment...

- FUCK THE WORLD - HAIL AND KILL -

Battle Hymns

1982 - Metal was evolving in many different directions. Speed, Thrash, Black and True Metal were born. MANOWAR showed the world what could be done if you believed in yourself. From Metal Daze over Manowar to Dark Avenger. And Battle Hymns - a song  whose lyrics were to be made come true. 10,000 side by side. Beware and behold - The Metal Kings had started their march...

Into Glory Ride

The beginning of Warlord says it all. Do what you want and laugh at society - spit in their unworthy faces. The Secret Of Steel is the magic word, wearing Gloves Of Metal opening the Gates Of Valhalla. It truly was a Revelation. This record was the direction that the band took after Fighting The World riding intoThe Kings Of Metal!

Hail To England

Let each note I now play be a Black Arrow of death sent straight to the heart of all those who play false metal! Like the bass solo the record is very powerful and very heavy - dark - and Bridge Of Death was to be more Satanic than any other song up to date.

Sign Of The Hammer

2 records in one year - that was more than great - although they differ each other in so many ways. Fast songs combined with epical ones. Mountains a song about and for eternity. The Oath drove me nuts - I went beserk and wanted more and more...

Fighting The World

I guess this record is the easiest to listen to. Fighting the World with its great and catchy chorus. Defender, a song that always gives me the goose bumps for the lack of having a great father that every boy craves for. Holy War - holy double shit! And Black Wind, Fire and Steel - when Joey starts playing this song I know it's time to kill - and kill I will!

Kings Of Metal

Eat Tar and Gasoline - We're the Kings of Metal, comin' to Town - Stand and fight, live by Your Heart - Your Kingdom will come - Hail and Kill - Blood Of The Kings! Is it possible to describe a true lifestyle in any better way than that? I feel an unrestrained energy for life and the will to live - straight forward and merciless. Eric Adams sings inimitable with a voice able to reach octaves that others can only dream of. Listening to the music just gives me an unbelievably positive feeling. For me it's MANOWAR at their best - FOUR KINGS OF METAL - FOUR METAL KINGS

Triumph Of Steel

Ross the Boss and Scott Columbus gone - shit! Or maybe not? That was the question - and the answer was the Triumph of Steel! A fantastic record that perfectly fit the styles of David Shankle and Rhino. Are there words to describe the magnificence of Achilles Agony and Ecstasy - no there are not! The complexity is more than amazing. The drive and power of Ride The Dragon has always kicked my ass. The intense moments of the Spirit Horse Of The Cherokee let you feel the honor and braveness of a nation that was destroyed by cowards, backstabbed and misused. Master Of The Wind a song that depicts the True Heart and Soul of MANOWAR and life itself...

Louder Than Hell

Return Of the Warlord - a song written for me - thank you - listen to the chorus and understand what my life means to me - pretty easy in fact! Also the return of Scott Columbus, whose drumsound somehow fits better into MANOWAR's rows. Karl Logan the new axeman shines playing a very technical style of guitar. The Power finishing the record with a true mightiness!

Warriors Of The World

Warriors Of The World a record that I had to learn to love. Call To Arms kicks ass and I love The Fight For Freedom. Nessun Dorma and An American Trilogy are songs that I actually skipped for a long time. The hymn of Warriors Of The World brought life back and what happens after that is what I really want: Hand Of Doom, House Of Death and Fight Until We Die - a triple shot of pure Heavy Metal that would be able to destroy millions and millions of wimps and posers even when not played to the maximum! Indeed, nothing shall remain...
And then they released the Gold Edition of the CD with I Believe and Dawn Of Battle from the self-titled EP. These two songs have always belonged on this CD so finally it has gotten its standardized finishing.

Gods of War

Manowar hits 2007 - the CD is loved and hated. People question themselves, asking this and that and why and why not - but I don't give a shit because I don't ask myself anything. Gods Of War has truly surpassed my expectations by a mile. The Odin-concept, the symphonical and epic sound. My body is torn from screaming warcries to getting the goose bumps. Eric Adams sings better than ever - his voice penetrates my skin - brilliant - he now has the voice of a God. The interaction of the instruments, the narrations, the heroic choirs carry you on Sleipnir's back to Valhalla - Metal at its best - Hail Odin!

Thunder In The Sky

After Gods Of War had polarized the fans because many just didn't recognize the masterpiece, MANOWAR released a true firestorm of power and might. This EP lets the earthquake. The 3 new songs are so full of energy, having brilliant riffs and great choruses. Karl Logan is truly magnificent  on this recording. The song Father is a pure ballad which MANOWAR translated into 16 different languages saying thank you to their Army Of Immortals across the world. The EP makes me damn hungry for the new complete CD - give it to me - now!

Battle Hymns MMXI

Does the world need a re-make of a CD - especially a groundbreaking one like Battle Hymns? I was sceptical but Joey left me once again speechless. The sound on this record is METAL - exactly the way METAL should sound but never has been achieved until this very day. Bombastic, heavy, crystal clear yet raw. The drums will blow you away. The bass sound is a killer - an absolute killer. Eric's voice has matured and sounds more powerful and intense - he doesn't sound like a warrior any more but like a true King. In my opinion the Highlight on MMXI is Karl Logan. He gives songs such as Fast Taker, Shellshock and Dark Avenger a complete new sound - polishing them with perfection and taking them to the next level. His guitar playing is outstanding - his solos are rich in variety, technically perfect yet with the needed feeling. We all would like to thank Ross for helping out in writing these great songs but he truly can leave his guitar at home...
