My parents, my sister with her boyfriend and my aunt with her family rented a house in the Provence. France is my parent’s favorite country! They had one room left in the house so we decided to join in on this family affair.

We started off in September - the sun shining so beautifully. After arriving at our destination we couldn’t believe it – our house was totally idyllic, far away from civilization and surrounded by horse fields.

We quickly „inspected“ the house. It was a dream! It had a beautiful interior and was just sooo cozy... Outside there was a huge dining table, a BBQ and a swimming pool. It looked as if our vacation was to be perfect. Well, after the arriving day the weather went bad. Instead of the heat which is normal at this time of the year in the Provence, we had thunderstorms and rain.

We still had a great week in France. We went to markets, hiked, jogged, did a lot of sight seeing and had a very nice trip with my parents. We were all in a good mood and it worked out quite well – all of us being different – it was pretty fascinating and pretty funny, too.

Time passed by much too quick and we had to go back to civilization...

I will always remember some special things. I love the fragrance of thyme, lavender and rosemary, the frog concert at our pool and walking through the narrow alleyways of the French cities...
