Judas Priest - in my opinion they are the creators of the NewWaveOf BritishHeavyMetal. They have been innovative since the very beginning of their career - they made and formed today's Heavy Metal. The interaction of the two lead guitars is one and only. Screams of Vengeance - electrifying sensations - Rock Forever!

Rocka Rolla

Priest's first recording. A very down to earth hard rock album with hints to Black Sabbath - both bands coming from Birmingham. Rocka Rolla being a nice song with a singalong chorus. The album fits perfectly into the music scene of the 70s.

Sad Wings Of Destiny

This album is a milestone in Rock history. Showing the band's versatility to the extreme. Victim Of Changes would become a trademark that holds its ground to this very day. Halford's voice range is incredible - monumental. The Ripper - the music fits perfectly to the story told - a theatrical masterpiece. Two leadguitars a necessity to become the band's trademark. The Priest on it's way.

Sin After Sin

Sinner, Starbreaker and Dissident Aggressor were a fuckin' loud knock on the door to Heavy Metal which would soon open in all its glory. Diamonds And Rust a great cover tune. Priest still on the quest for their own and unmistakeable sound.

Stained Class

The true Priest sound finally born. No relations towards Black Sabbath, Deep Purple or Queen (!) anymore. Exciter, Stained Class, Beyond The Realms of Death my favorites. The duelling of the two leadguitars in harmony is just fuckin' fabulous.

Killing Machine
Hell Bent For Leather

Delivering The Goods says it all. Holy shit what an album - Priest was Hell Bent For Leather and so was I. This recording has a terrific tight sound featuring Priest's first Metal anthem Take On The World - and yes they would...

British Steel

Breakin' the what... the NWOBHM was born. Two lead guitars constantly duelling each other and filling the rhythm parts with true power – the revolution finalized. Rapid Fire burns like hell - pounding the world like a battering ram. Halford the Metal God. His voice is the voice of Metal. United their next hymn would bring all Metal heads together! Steeler a very powerful track with a great speed.

Point Of Entry

Point Of Entry is a more laid back Metal album with great songs such as Heading Out To The Highway and Desert Plains. Hot rockin' holding the flag of Heavy Metal high!

Screaming For Vengeance

The album that everyone was waiting for to follow British Steel - it truly does scream for vengeance - loud, proud and straight fuckin' forward - the drums pounding like hell - guitars screeching in unison and Halford soaring higher than a hellion - Riding On The Wind!

Defenders Of The Faith

A fanatastic answer to Priest's predecessor. The Priest at the height of their career - Freewheel Burning, Jawbreaker, Rock Hard Ride Free and so on - an endless display of Heavy Metal the way it is supposed to be - I believe that some heads did roll...

Turbo

Totally unexpected, yet innovative and experimental and very commercial. Turbo Lover a great and heavy opener. The synthesizer guitars something new and needless... The album not heavy enough for me - although Out In The Cold compels a great atmosphere onto the listener.

Ram It Down

Ram It Down - heavy as Priest should be. Heavy Metal a song that's title is statement enough. Priest heading towards their Heavy Metal roots. Why they covered Johnny B. Goode will stay their secret - totally misplaced. Monsters Of Rock ending the CD the way it should be.

Painkiller

The heaviest Priest album of all. Painkiller became Heavy Metal's song with which metal heads identify  themselves and the genre. Halford's voice pentrates to the bone again and again. Killer leadguitars - and with Scott Travis' extraordinary brutal drumming the record is a true metal feast.

Angel Of Retribution

The Priest was back - were they really? Was their reunion commercial? Yes they were and no it wasn't. A glorious day in Metal. After Judas Priest had taken the Ripper as their singer the band had changed. Tim Owens a fantastic vocalist who could nonetheless never replace the Metal God. Halford's solo albums being a knock on Priest's door  - his last two CDs sounding more like Priest than Priest themselves. And now finally - Judas was Rising again - strong and heavy - back to the roots - versatile like in the beginning, and as metal as in the late 80s. Hellrider's double bass will kick anyone's ass. Lochness an unbelievably epic track that puts you into the depths of that endless black sea...

Nostradamus

Judas Priest explores new terrain releasing their first concept album - and a masterpiece is done. I know many metal heads will say, "That's not metal!" Well, I've only got one answer for them - FUCK YOU. Brilliantly composed into a whole story - the listener gets to take part into Nostradamus' life. Halford may not be able to hit the high notes like he used to but his voice is very powerful and penetrating. The guitars and the arrangements are fabulous - perfect - magnificent.
